Accidental Damage Waiver

It is our goal to ensure you have a remarkable experience at our villas. And, we understand that accidents happen. In lieu of a large security deposit, your reservation will include a $99 Accidental Damage Waiver fee. This will cover accidental damages of up to $2,000 that occur during your stay.

What is included in the Accidental Damage Waiver?The accidental damage waiver includes coverage for up to $2,000 in unintentional damages that occur during your stay, provided they are disclosed to your concierge prior to check-out. The plan will pay a maximum benefit of $2,000.00 USD. Any damages that exceed $2,000.00 USD will be charged to the credit card on file. It is your responsibility to report unintentional damage that is caused to the property prior to check-out. 
What is not included in the Accidental Damage Waiver?Coverage is not provided for loss due to: a. inclement weather or natural disaster; b. your intentional acts or gross negligence; c. normal wear and tear of the real or personal property assigned to the Accommodation; d. any damage that occurs if you are in violation of the lease agreement; e. loss, theft or damage to any personal effects owned by you or brought on the covered Trip by you; f. loss, theft or damage caused by any person other than you or your registered guests and named occupants with whom you share the Accommodation reservation; g. loss of towels or other inventory items
Who should I report accidental damage to?Your concierge agent can assist you with the damage report process. Your concierge agent will ask that you complete a simple form and provide photos of the damage to start the process.
How does the pricing work?The Accidental Damage Waiver is a $99 flat fee per reservation. If you have multiple reservations, the fee will be charged on each individual reservation.
Is this refundable if I cancel my trip?Yes, this is completely refundable if the reservation is canceled and no guest has occupied the villa.

ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE WAIVER: This Non-Refundable* Accidental Damage Waiver (ADW) covers unintentional damages to the villa, vacation rental, or condominium that occur during your stay, provided they are disclosed to your concierge prior to check-out. The plan will pay a maximum benefit of $2,000.00 USD. Any damages that exceed $2,000.00 USD will be charged to any credit card on file. It is your responsibility to report unintentional damage that is caused to the property prior to check-out.

All bookings/reservations are required to include protection for accidental damage to the interior of the villa, vacation rental home, or condominium, either through the purchase of this waiver or by placing a security deposit. The ADW provides protection against any accidental damage to the interior of the vacation rental home or condominium unit, including furniture, furnishings, and fixtures. ADW becomes effective on the confirmed guest arrival date and at the confirmed guest check-in time, and coverage terminates at 10:00 AM on the confirmed guest departure date. Any accidental damage must be both, reported, with photographs where applicable, to the assigned Villas of Distinction® concierge by the registered guest during their stay, and acknowledged in writing by Villas of Distinction® for coverage to be effective. The Accidental Damage Waiver is limited to payment for covered damages not exceeding $2,000.00, and the registered guest is responsible for payment of any amount exceeding $2,000.00. If the damage is deemed to be intentional or negligence and not accidental, the registered guest is responsible for full payment of the respective damages. If the registered guest fails to pay the respective damage to Villas of Distinction®, Villas of Distinction® reserves the right to charge any credit card on file. Nevertheless, any damage incurred by the registered guest and/or their named occupants to the rental home or condominium unit, whether accidental or otherwise, must be reported immediately to the assigned Villas of Distinction® concierge.

*The Accidental Damage Waiver will only be refundable if the reservation is cancelled and no guest has occupied the villa, vacation rental, or condominium.
